What OVA wipes are for
This is the only element of the line that works during the treatment rather than after it. Instead of a set of cotton pads, liquids and bottles you have one wipe with which you cleanse the working area and hydrate the epidermis at the same time.
They are soaked in a cocktail of oils with An'tamanu essence, the same one the rest of the OVA aftercare line is based on.
How they behave in practice
They do not strip the skin of moisture. Dry, tight skin takes pigment less well, and over a longer session the difference is visible.
They shorten the clean up. One item instead of three means less to tidy in front of your client and less to restock in your orders.
They are useful beyond PMU. Artists also use them after injectable treatments and laser therapy, anywhere the skin is irritated and does not want strong products.
How to use them
During the work: to cleanse the treatment area between passes.
At the end: to remove excess pigment before applying the aftercare product.
For your client at home: for gentle cleansing in the first days of healing.
Dry healing or wet healing
This question comes up in every conversation about permanent makeup aftercare. We wrote it out in a separate article: dry healing and OVA wipes.
The wipes are part of a set together with the lip butter and the balm with a UV filter, also available as the starter set.
Frequently asked questions
Do the wipes wash pigment out of fresh work?
They were created for work on fresh pigmentation, which is why the cleansing is gentle and does not require rubbing.
Can they be used on the face outside the treatment area?
Yes, they are made for sensitive and irritated skin.
How many wipes are used in one treatment?
Usually one to two, depending on the length of the session and the working area.
