Why PMU aftercare is not an ordinary cosmetic
Skin after micropigmentation is broken skin. Whatever goes onto it has to hydrate, protect against infection and not react with the pigment that is still settling. An ordinary drugstore balm meets the first of those conditions at best — and it can actively do harm, washing out the colour or clogging a healing wound.
What is An’tamanu™
An essence created from the oils of tamanu i andiroba — two raw materials used for generations in the care of damaged skin. It works on several fronts: it soothes pain, supports regeneration of the epidermis and reduces the risk of infection. It is OVA's own composition and the foundation of the entire aftercare line.
Three areas, three different protocols
Lips, brows and eyeliner heal differently and need different things. Lips — the most vascularised, the most prone to drying out and to cold sores — need a richer, occlusive formula. Brows tolerate a light balm better, with an added filter in summer. Eyeliner calls for a product you can work with close to the eye.

Frequently asked questions
What should lips be treated with after permanent makeup?
A product intended for broken skin, with a rich, occlusive consistency, safe to apply to an open epidermis. Apply the lip butter in a thin layer several times a day for the first few days so that the lips do not dry out — it is that drying that causes cracking and colour loss.
How long does aftercare need to be used?
As standard, throughout the whole period the epidermis is healing — roughly 7–14 days, depending on the area and skin type. Sun protection is worth using for much longer: UV radiation lightens the pigment for as long as it stays in the skin.
Does aftercare affect how the pigment takes?
Yes, and it is one of the most underrated factors. A scab that dries out comes away together with the pigment, while skin that is greasy or irritated heals unevenly. Correct aftercare will not fix a badly performed treatment, but the wrong aftercare can ruin a good one.
Can I resell these products in my own salon?
