We would like to say that we threw into a great cauldron the demands of the modern world along with all its possibilities, and the wisdom of nature that has faithfully accompanied humankind for thousands of years. It bubbled, a purple smoke rose…
Well… although the result is magical, it was not quite so fairy-tale…
OVA cosmetics grew slowly, out of many years of experience and of searching for the finest, most valuable ingredients, in a laboratory space full of beakers, measuring cylinders and microscopes.
Though I will admit honestly that we did feel a little like alchemists of old :)!
In creating OVA cosmetics we drew on the wisdom of our ancestors – we wiped the patina and dust from the forgotten strength and healing power of plants, and combined it with everything the modern world of science has to offer.
THE GOLDEN TOUCH OF OVA — PLANT OILS ABOVE ALL

The base is Tamanu oil (Calophyllum, or Kamani)
This oil is obtained from the seeds of the Calophyllum Inophyllum fruit. This evergreen tree grows in India and across the Pacific islands, and it was the indigenous people of Polynesia who first discovered the power of Tamanu oil's beneficial properties. They called it a sacred gift of nature, and that was thanks to cech leczniczych i ochronnych enclosed in every drop of the oil.

The main healing and caring properties of the oil used today include its action in:

- all skin changes and infections (acne in particular)

- conditions of the scalp and of any area covered with hair (folliculitis, dandruff, psoriasis, hair loss)
- a broken epidermal structure (considerably speeding up its regeneration)
- irritation, and reducing scars and stretch marks.
Interestingly, it was once also used as a medicine given intramuscularly for the neuralgia associated with leprosy and for rheumatic pain.
The unusual composition of Tamanu oil is what gives it its inexhaustible power.
Calophyllic, oleic, linoleic, palmitic and stearic acids, calophyllolide, phytosterols, coumarin, lactones and a complex of minerals. As you can see, the list is a long one.
- All of this means that, although it was forgotten for years, today it is storming back with its beneficial properties as the main ingredient of many cosmetics.
- That is why it could not be missing from the OVA line.
But Tamanu oil is only one of the many ingredients enclosed in OVA sachets.
Andiroba oil
Slightly less rich in composition, but with an equally important health-giving and protective action for our skin. This oil was one of the main natural medicines of the tribes of South America. It is produced from the nuts of trees growing across the Amazon – Carapa guaianensis.
The healing properties of liquid gold
Still being rediscovered in modern cosmetology, this golden-brown oil was once prized for its healing action on skin problems, wounds, burns and insect bites.
Today we are discovering the value of Andiroba oil in its action:
- slowing the ageing of the skin
- protecting against inflammation and soothing irritation
- stimulating collagen synthesis
- sealing the lipid layer of the skin
- protecting against the harmful action of external factors.
