Well… although the result is magical, it was not quite so fairy-tale…
OVA cosmetics grew slowly, out of many years of experience and of searching for the finest, most valuable ingredients, in a laboratory space full of beakers, measuring cylinders and microscopes.
Though I will admit honestly that we did feel a little like alchemists of old :)!

The base is Tamanu oil (Calophyllum, or Kamani)
This oil is obtained from the seeds of the Calophyllum Inophyllum fruit. This evergreen tree grows in India and across the Pacific islands, and it was the indigenous people of Polynesia who first discovered the power of Tamanu oil's beneficial properties. Calophyllic, oleic, linoleic, palmitic and stearic acids, calophyllolide, phytosterols, coumarin, lactones and a complex of minerals. As you can see, the list is a long one.
- All of this means that, although it was forgotten for years, today it is storming back with its beneficial properties as the main ingredient of many cosmetics.
- That is why it could not be missing from the OVA line.
But Tamanu oil is only one of the many ingredients enclosed in OVA sachets.
Andiroba oil
Slightly less rich in composition, but with an equally important health-giving and protective action for our skin. This oil was one of the main natural medicines of the tribes of South America. It is produced from the nuts of trees growing across the Amazon – Carapa guaianensis.
